  • The Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) conducts PGCET Exam for admissions to postgraduate courses of MCA,MBA,M.Tech/ME and M.Arch that are offered by different colleges in Karnataka.
  • The students applying for professional courses like MCA, M.Tech/ME are required to attend the PGCET exam and counselling sessions.
  • The students who qualify PGCET exam are required to undergo counselling sessions to choose their colleges based on their rankings.
  • The KEA conducts counselling sessions for all the students for different engineering colleges in Bangalore and Karnataka.


Eligibility for PGCET Exam.

  • The aspiring students who have completed their engineering degree in any stream with 50% aggregate marks from the recognised university are eligible to apply for the PGCET exam.  
  • The students who are in the final year of bachelor’s degree are also eligible to apply to the PGCET exam. 
  • The minimum age criteria required for applying for the PGCET exam is 21 years.

Age Limit and No of Attempts for PGCET Exam.

The students appearing for PGCET Exam should have completed minimum 17 years of age at the time of admissions. There is No Upper Age limit for the PGCET Exam and there is No restriction on the number of attempts for the PGCET exam.

How to apply for the PGCET Exam?

The aspiring students have to follow the following steps in order to register for CLAT exam

  • PGCET Registration: The candidates have to register on the PGCET login panel as a new registration. The students will get login credentials on their registered Email ID and registered mobile numbers
  • Filling the application: The students have to carefully fill the application form without any mistakes. All the details should be filled carefully
  • Documents Upload: The students have to upload the soft copies of the required documents and also upload their recent passport size photos
  • Fee Payment: The students have to pay the required fees through online payment or through bank challan
  • Hall Tickets: The students have to login credentials received on their registered emails and registered mobile numbers and download their hall tickets
  • Exam Day: The students have to reach the specified exam centres on their hall tickets to give their exams

Question Paper Pattern for PGCET Exam.

The PGCET Exam is conducted in Paper and Pen Mode (Offline). The exam consists of 100 MCQs and the duration of the exam is 3-hours or 180 minutes.
