COMED-K (Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental - Karnataka)
The consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental, Karnataka, popularly known as COMEDK 2021, is an entrance examination which attracts engineering aspirants who are interested to take the engineering programs from the Karnataka state. JEE Main (Joint Entrance Examination)
The Joint Entrance Examination or JEE is a national level (All-India) Engineering Entrance Examination. It qualifies candidates for IIIT, NIT, IIT and Government aided engineering colleges across the country.
The JEE Main is conducted for providing admission into BE or B.Tech courses in various NITs & other Institutions all over the country. JEE Advanced is the criteria to get admission in the well-known Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs).
The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Main) comprises two papers. The Paper 1 is conducted for admission to Undergraduate Engineering Programs (B.E/B. Tech) at NITs, IIITs, other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions (CFTIs), Institutions/ Universities funded/ recognized by participating State Governments, as well as an eligibility test for JEE (Advanced), which is conducted for admission to IITs. The JEE (Main) is being conducted in multiple Sessions (February/ March/ April/ May 2021) for admissions in the next academic session.

JEE Advanced
JEE is one of the milestones that engineering students need to clear to seek admission into their desired course. JEE Advanced are national-level entrance exams that offer admission in top engineering colleges in India. JEE-Advanced examination is mainly conducted by IITs and the students must clear JEE Main to appear for JEE Advanced.

GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering)
The GATE exam is conducted on behalf of the Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India and National Coordination Board (NCB)-GATE. For candidates who are unaware about the GATE full form, it stands for Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering. Candidates who are seeking admission or financial assistance to - Master’s programs and direct Doctoral programs in relevant branches of Science, for them qualifying in GATE exam is mandatory. Not only this, some colleges and institutions, which offer admission without MHRD scholarship/ assistantship, for them also the GATE qualification is mandatory.

PGCET (Post Graduate Common Entrance Test)
Karnataka PGCET is a state-level entrance test conducted by the Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) for admission to MBA/ MCA/ ME/ MTech/ M.Arch programmes offered by Government / University/ Private Aided / Private Un-Aided professional educational institutions in Karnataka. As many as 178 participating institutes accept Karnataka PGCET score for PG admission.
PGCET or Post Graduate Common Entrance Test is a popular state-level entrance exam conducted by the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) and it serves as a gateway for admissions to the MBA programs run by the Karnataka-based business schools. Therefore, it’s imperative to clear this examination if one wishes to pursue any MBA or PGDM program run by any of the Universities, Government, Private Aided or Private Unaided Business Schools in Karnataka.
