What is COMED-K ?
- Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka (COMEDK) is an independent body registered under Government of Karnataka for conducting COMED-K Entrance Exam.
- The COMEDK has been assigned the task of organising a common entrance test every year for admissions to engineering and technology courses in different private colleges (member institutes) under COMED-K
- The COMEDK entrance test & publication of test score and rank list will be followed by centralized counselling (Single window system)
- The students can get admissions to professional courses in all the private engineering colleges that are members of COMED-K based on their COMED-K rankings.
Eligibility for applying for COMED-K Exam
- The aspiring students interested to join different professional courses like B.Tech/BE in private engineering colleges in Bangalore should have specific eligibility criteria
- Both Karnataka and Non-Karnataka students are eligible to apply for COMED-K Exam and join to private engineering colleges in Bangalore and Karnataka
- The students who have completed their PUC or 10 +2 in science stream from a recognised board are eligible to apply for the COMED-K exam.
- Further the students (both Karnataka and Non-Karnataka) interested to join engineering and technology courses should have scored 50% aggregate in science subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Electronics, Computer Science and Statistics.

COMED-K Counselling
The COMED-K counselling consists of 3 rounds:
- First Round of Counselling
- Second Round of Counselling for the remaining seats from the first round
- Third Round or Mop Up round for all the seats remaining after the second round.
COMED-K Exam Format
The COMED-K Exam consists of the following:
- The questions will be asked from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics
- Each question carries one mark and paper will be of 180 marks
- Total time for exam is 180 minutes and there is No Negative Marking for wrong answers
- The COMED-K is conducted in Computer Based (Online Mode) in designated exam centres across Karnataka
