
What is the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) Exam?
The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) exam is a national level entrance exam that is conducted for entrance to M.Tech /ME/Ph.D courses for different IITs, NITs, centrally funded technical institutes of India. The GATE exam is conducted every year for the students interested to join M.Tech/ME/Ph.D in top engineering colleges in Bangalore. The GATE Exam is a Computer Based (Online) test that takes place in designated exam centres across India.
Conducting Bodies.
The GATE Exam is conducted every year jointly by all the IITs of India such as: IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati, IIT Kanpur, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Madras, IIT Roorkee and Indian Institute for Science, Bangalore (IISC Bangalore) on behalf of National Coordination Board (NCB)-GATE, Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education (MoE), Government of India. The GATE exam 2022 has following changes:
- Two new papers added to the list of GATE Exam 2022 papers
- (1) The Naval Architecture & Marine Engineering
- (2) Geomatics Engineering as the two new papers.
- The candidates can download their GATE Scorecard for three years, or the time till the time the scorecard is valid.
